Shehu celebrates Bursaspor’s win in 6 goal thriller.

Super Eagles defender Shehu Abdullahi has praised his team’s effort in getting the maximum three points in a 4 – 2 comeback win over 16th placed Akhisarspor in Sunday’s Turkish Super League fixture.

Forward Elvis Manu opened the scoring for the home side in the 8th minute while Onur Ayik doubled the lead in the 39th minute. Bursaspor started their comeback with a brace from Umut Nayir in the 45th and 65th minute. Lasmin Latovievici scored in the 85th minute for the away side to take the lead for the first time before Ramazan Keskin completed the comeback in the 90th minute.

Shehu was unlisted for the game as he continues his drive back to the first team after the injury he picked up while on national duty with the Super Eagles.

The former Kano Pillars star tweeted. “Amazing comeback, we bounced back to winning ways. From two goals down at Akhisarspor and we won 4-2. Big character from the team, we dedicate this victory to our fans.”

When quizzed by fans on his estimated time of return the Eagles right back replied. “I will be back this weekend by God’s grace. I do appreciate your kindness.”

Bursaspor is currently placed 11th on the Turkish Super League table.
