Osimhen: I’m Working Very Hard At Charleroi

Date:

Sporting Charleroi of Belgium summer signing, Victor Osimhen has disclosed that he is working hard in training with the club, as he seeks a bright start to his career at his new base.

Osinhem is on loan at VfL Wolfsburg of Germany, where he has struggled for form and fitness since excelling at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile three years ago, but he believes now is the time for him to shine.

As he espies greater days ahead of his career, OIsimhen admits that the only way for him to hit the ground running is to prepare himself adequately during training.

Consequently, Osimhen says he is working hard in order to be in peak shape and hit top form with a rain of goals for his new club.

The 19-year-old striker, who joined Charleroi on a season-long loan from Wolfsburg last month, admits he did not do well on his debut against Royal Excel Mouscron, as he played for 12 minutes.

Osimhen says he has put that shaky start behind him and is now determined to work hard in order to ensure he features more regularly and with longer playing time for the former club of fellow-Nigerian striker, Joseph Akpala.

The Cadet Mundial’s eternal top scorer is enthusiastic that his breakthrough at Charleroi will begin this weekend against Standard Liege in the Belgian top-flight league.

Osimhen said: “I have been working hard in training so hopefully I will get more playing time as the season unfolds.

“For me, it’s always the same target every season. I just want to score and always help my team get the desired results.”
