Super Falcons technical adviser, Thomas Dennerby has come out with a stunning declaration that one of the team’s top players, Asisat Oshoala could sometime in the future become World Women Footballer of The Year, footballlive.ng can report.
After seeing the former FC Robo of Lagos and Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt attacker win the African honour thrice in recent years, Dennerby is not scared of thinking further for her and believes she can be the first player from the continent to win the global gong as well.
The Dalian Quanjian of China attacker, who was top scorer in the Chinese Women’s Super League in 2017, took home the African honour in 2014, 2016 and 2017, but Dennerby says the former Arsenal and Liverpool ace can also corner the global prize before quitting the round leather game.
Denerby affirmed: ”I know that Asisat is performing very well in her club China, last week she scored a hat-trick, I also know her coach.
”We have players that can be at the top list, but I feel we have to work hard, the better the team perform the better the individual can be.”
