Athletico Madrid is a big and recognised Spanish team with good character of play i must say.
It was a tough and demanding game knowing the kind of opponent we were up against.
Thought they scored first before we came from behind at the 82 minute to levelled up with an equalizer .
We would have wrapped up the game with a win with the chances we had in the course of the game, ill luck prevented us in carrying the maximum points.
Just a point was not a bad one for me is better than an outright loss at home, it was a very difficult match but we gave it our best.
When asked how the Super Eagles defender felt playing in same pitch with Antoine Greziemann.
He said, for me it is normal playing against Antoine Greziemann he’s not the best striker i have ever played against, i could remember far back as 2013, i played against Didier Drogba of Ivory Coast in the African Cup of Nations in the quarter finals which we won, we were able to checkmate them and so many other recognised players in the world cup competition such asl Messi, Aguero etc
For me it’s a normal feeling, no special attachment what so ever, it is my job i am doing which requires me meeting such prestigious players .
The former U-20 world cup player concluded by saying i am excited we did lose the match against Athletico Madrid.
