Mission Impossible! Enyimba gets Cup Target

If you’ve got a fantastic player like Mfon Udoh, safe hands like Theophilus Afelokhai and players that can deliver goals even in stoppage time, just like Wasiu Alalade and Farouk Mohammed, certainly you can dream of winning the CAF Confederation Cup.

Enyimba are on a roll, and with confidence on the ascendancy, froward, Wasiu Alalade believes the Elephants can add a third continental crown to their trophy cabinet.

Wasiu proved the match winner on Wednesday in the final group C game against CARA Brazzaville, to send Enyimba to the top of the group and confirmed their quarter-final place in the competition.

As per Adeboye Amosu [Complete Sports], the team is aiming to be the first Nigerian club to win the CAF Confederation Cup since it was so renamed.

“We are in the quarter-finals and the only thing on our mind now is to win the trophy and nothing more.

“We realised that no Nigerian club has won the competition and it will be great for us to win it for the first time,” Wasiu Alalade said.
