Juventus’ Awkward Tweet On Cristiano Ronaldo Goes Viral

Date:

Who could forget Ronaldo’s bicycle kick goal against Juventus from last season?!

He produced a stunning acrobatic effort in the first-leg of the Champions League quarter-final. Of course, Real Madrid eventually won the competition as Ronaldo continued to net goals for fun. He was clearly touched by the applause he received from the Juve fans as could be noted by his gesture.

This same goal versus Juventus has been recognized as UEFA Goal of the Season.

Juventus proceeded to congratulate Cristiano Ronaldo for winning the UEFA Goal of the Season award, following his strike against… Juventus.

Trust us, there isn’t anything funnier than the rather awkward tweet. Check it out below.

Naturally, it got plenty of people talking and not in a good way.

Football fans were quick to take the p**s out of the Italian team including a hilarious reply from fellow Serie A outfit AS Roma.

This would not be the first time AS Roma would create banter or take subtle digs at The Old Lady.

We think it was/is safe to assume that AS Roma are firmly in the Messi camp after seeing the tweet they posted shortly after Ronaldo’s move to Juventus was confirmed.

Alongside four photos of Messi alongside Roma icon Francesco Totti, Roma’s English-speaking Twitter account wrote: “The King of Rome and the GOAT ????????

Juventus will be hoping the next time they congratulate Ronaldo it’s winning something for them.
