CAFCC: Enyimba Are On Right Track – Alalade

Date:

Enyimba of Aba fast-rising star, Wasiu Alalade has assured that club’s fans that the team will qualify for the semi-finals of this year’s CAF Confederation Cup, as he believes The Peoples’ Elephant are on the right track.

Heading into the second leg of their quarter-final faceoff with Rayon Sports of Rwanda, Alalade pointed out that their goalless draw in the first leg away shows how serious Enyimba are about going further in the competition.

Alalade, who footballlive.ng recalls scored the crucial late goal that fetched them top spot in their group, ahead of CARA Brazzaville of Congo, added that the reverse fixture in Aba is a game all the players have declared they must win.

The mercurial winger-cum-attacker further stated that the first leg result was okay for his side because the home team failed to score and could not get a point from the game.

With the reverse fixture now approaching this Sunday in Aba, Alalade is confident that Enyimba will make their home advantage count and reach the semi-finals.

He declared: “We had a brilliant game and deserved to score in the first leg. Rayon Sports gave us a great fight.

“We were solid and did not leave any gaps between defence and attack, so that benefited us.

“It’s a result we must now build on to show our fans that we are on the right track. We will get the job done in Aba.”
