Aina Rates High In Technique, Physical Dominance

Date:

AS Torino summer loan arrival from Chelsea, Ola Aina has been rated high in terms of technical qualities and physical dominance, following his efforts in last weekend’s 2-2 draw away to Inter Milan.

With Tornio pulling off a shock stalemate away to their more favoured hosts, as a section of the respected Italian press went to town with superlatives hailing Aina’s performance.

It would be seen back home in Nigeria as justification for his recall to the Super Eagles last week, after missing out on the World Cup squad, and suggestive of a starting role against Seychelles on September 7.

Before that fixture, Aina will bask in the delight of sweet words flowing his way, as two of Italy’s leading sports newspapers noted his impressive display at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Milan on Sunday.

For the second successive game, Aina was introduced off the bench and slotted in as a left wing-back, after Argentine full back, Cristian Ansaldi got injured 22 minutes into the tie.

Subsequently, Aina was awarded seven marks out of ten, which put him joint-top with in-form goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu, midfielder Soualiho Meïté, as well as strikers Andrea Belotti and Iago Falque.

One of the citations read: ”Ola Aina confirms to be an excellent alternative, highlighting quality and a physical domination.”

Another tabloid splashed a headline that read ‘Ola Aina Looks Like Hulk’ and also rated him joint-best player on parade by The Granata.
