Zimbabwe Defender Confident Ahead of Super Eagles Clash

Warriors of Zimbabwe defender, Jordan Zemura expressed confidence in the team’s preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Nigeria.

The match is set to take place at the Huye Stadium in Butare.

Zemura emphasized that the team is well-prepared and in high spirits for the encounter.

 

He highlighted the goal of securing their first win in the qualifying series after playing to a 0-0 draw against Rwanda in their previous match.

“We are ready to play, we are ready to compete, we have the courage to face them,” the 23-year-old said in a video posted on the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) official X handle.

“We have trained together, you can see there is a lot of quality in the team, we try to encourage ourselves.

“We know the quality Nigeria have as a team. We just have to stay strong, be on top of our game and stay with each other.”

The left-back, who plays for Udinese in Italy, is optimistic about the Warriors’ chances and is eager to contribute to a positive result for his team.
