Zaidu Sanusi fully fit, features in Cup win against Liga II side Academico de Viseu

Zaidu Sanusi was available and in action for FC Porto in the Taca de Portugal quarter-final win over Academico de Viseu on Wednesday.

Sanusi who continues to make progress with cameo appearances since his return from a lengthy injury spell, featured for the entire game – his first 90 minutes since October.

The 25 year-old was out for 12 weeks of competitive football, having only played 53 minutes in total across three games since his return.

On Wednesday, the Left back was picked ahead of Wendell as FC Porto grind out a 1-0 win to book a place in the semi-final of the competition.

The match winner was scored in the 50th minute courtesy 24 year-old midfielder Andre Franco from a Mateus Uribe assist.

It was enough to send the holders into the last four where they’ll next face Primeira Liga opponent, F.C. Famalicão in a double header between April and May.
