Super Eagles assistant coach, Salisu Yusuf had 15 players available in Ibadan yesterday, Monday, in preparation for the International friendly game against Costa Rica on November 10, in San Jose.
It’ll be the first ever International game between Nigeria and Costa Rica.
The friendly will serve as a tune up game to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, for the Central American team.
Coach Yusuf, who is also in charge of Nigeria’s Olympic Eagles participating in the qualifying rounds of next year’s African U23 Cup of Nations, retained some of his players involved in the 2-0 win over Tanzania’s U23 team won in Ibadan at the weekend.
FL gathered that several Foreign based players will join the squad to bolster the Super Eagles contingent for the San Jose friendly.
Meanwhile, Yusuf is also expected to lead the team and will be in charge rather than head Coach Jose Peseiro.
Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro's preparation for this month's FIFA World Cup qualifiers has taken another following the withdrawal of goalkeeper Maduka Okoye.
