Early minute strike by Yahaya Abayomi was enough for Kwara United to defeat Delta Force in the first semifinal of the ongoing NPFL/Laliga U15 Promises Tourney at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja.
Yahaya Abayomi brilliant strike with 10 seconds into the proceedings recorded the all important victory for Kwara United over Delta Force to zoom to the final of the second edition of the NPFL/Laliga U15 Promises Tourney.
Kwara United continued to enjoy possession after that early goal as they put their opponents on the back foot.
The Delta Boys gradually began to find their foot in the game as they built from the middle of the park and saw their first strike at goal deflected to corner on 22 minutes.
Yoma Darlington and Joel Peter were the liveliest players in the Delta Force team as they seek to get an equalizer before halftime with their constant threat in the attack
Joel Peter could have drawn Delta Force level on half hour mark but his low strike narrowly missed the mark after creating space for himself on the edge of the box.
Another opportunity came begging for Delta Force following a free kick awarded to Samuel who was tripped on the edge of Kwara United box on 32 minutes, but the resultant kick was struck against the wall and Kwara United luched a counter-attack which was almost converted.

On resumption, ‘The Young Harmony Boys’ stamped their authority as they continued to enjoy possession knocking the ball from right to left.
Delta Force goalie was on hand to pull off another fine save after Sulyman Majeed found Mohammed with a great pass but the Kwara United No. 9 couldn’t beat the goalkeeper with his shot on 42 minutes.
The final opportnity for Delta Force rested on Joel who had dribbled past three men but couldn’t find a teammate or a place to finish as Kwara United defender clear their line on 68 minutes
The referee blew the final whistle after two minutes added time as Kwara United youth team cruise to the final of the NPFL/Laliga U15 Promises Tourney.
The goalscorer Yahaya Abayomi was announced as the man of the match.
