‘Worst of the bunch,’ Fashanu blasts Pinnick-led NFF


Former England international John Fashanu has criticized the NFF leadership of Amaju Melvin Pinnick, labeling the administration “poor”.

The former AFC Wimbledon forward suggested that it was a mistake to put the outgoing NFF president in that position in the first place.
Speaking on Brila FM, John Fashanu revealed that he initially thought it was a good thing that Pinnick got the position as the administrative head of Nigerian football.
However, eight years after Fashanu argues that football in the country has not even been in the same position, but has so far been regressing, contrary to Amaju Pinnick’s declarations of success.
The former England international explained that “sponsorships” which has been the highlight of the administration, only came because the Super Eagles, and that the team have not performed well despite abundance the in quality.
John Fashanu also believes that changes have to be made, ‘it should start as soon as possible and it should be from the very top to the bottom.’
