Working on Strategy and Tactics for Days! Terem Moffi Reveals Peseiro Obsession

It’s not very often you hear about the work ethic of Jose Peseiro, the Portuguese, who hopes to win the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria, but like his Mentor Jose Mourinho, the 62 year-old is detailed.

Peseiro was appointed as Super Eagles coach last May, and though the team is don’t bear a semblance to a serious AFCON contender, there’s some optimism among the players that the team is on track to having that identity.

Speaking ahead of the AFCON qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau, striker Terem Moffi explained to FL, how the Portuguese has drilled the players, relentlessly.

“As a unit, as a group, we are all prepared for the game,” Moffi remarked about the mentality.

“We know what we have to do, and we just have to go there and be very positive and win the game.

“We all know the coach is big on his tactics and strategies.

“In the past two days we have been trying to work out some strategies and tactics, on and off the pitch. I think we are all prepared for it.”

On his personal objective in the match, Moffi said that, “I like to work in the moment, obviously I love scoring goals, but I work in the moment.

“So, when we get to the pitch, then we will try to get goals.”
