Wilfred Ndidi had another day to forget as Leicester City’s march to the Championship continued yesterday after their 0-3 loss to Liverpool at home.

Ndidi started the game but was taken off in the 61st minute, and was replaced by Patson Daka in a move to at least get a goal from the game by providing an attacking outlet with the hosts already two goals down.

Dean Smith sought to chase the game as he also introduced Harvey Barnes alongside Daka, and then wing-back Ricardo Pereira six minutes later.

The move would later prove detrimental as they conceded a third goal – ten minutes after replacing the Nigerian – via a freekick goal from Trent Alexander-Arnold to wrap up the game.

As it stands, Leicester are still rooted in the relegation battle in 19th position, only ahead of relegated Southampton, and a point behind Leeds United with two games to the end of the season.

Next up for the Foxes is a trip to Champions League-chasing Newcastle United, before they host West Ham on the final day of the League season.
