Who is late coach Solomon Osemwengie Ogbede?


He was born 9th August 1956, in Edo state . He wrote his West Africa School Certificate in the 1972 and got his diploma in Physical Education in University of Benin 1984, and his quest for education continues as he bagged first degree in Physical and Heaith Education in university of Benin. (B ED.) 1987.


He was a trained teacher and coach by profession A certified license CAF A coach in the year 2016.

Achievement As A Football Coach .

He was the Chief coach of flash flamingoes football club, Benin city 1985, silver medalist in National Challenge Cup 1988.

Chief coach Bendel United 1989, silver medallist mandala cup now CAF cup.

Chief coach Julius Berger 1993 Sliver medallist Africa cup winner now Confederation cup , 1995.

His sojourn has head coach began in the year 1999 where he took over NPA warri in the year 1999 and gained promotion from professional division to profession Division 1 , now know as NNL to NPFL.

2001 he took over his state team team. He assisted late Shuibu Amodu in Sharks between 2003 to 2005 and brought Sharks FC back to the elite league from second tied football.

He went back to his state team Bendel Insurance again 2006 where he played in the final of National challenge cup in Abeokuta and loss in the final and he was a Silver medalist winner. Much later, he became the technical adviser of Sunshine fc Akure 2015 to 2016 , he left for Lobi Stars 2017 and won the league 2018 before the cold hands of death took away a veteran coach of three decades in the league .

Former secretary General of Coaches Association of Nigeria before he handed over to Coach Stanley Eguma of Rivers United . As his fondly called ‘EPA’ with a popular ‘ Everything dey ball’.
