Welcome to the PL! Onuachu’s debut ends disastrously

Paul Onuachu made his Southampton debut in Saturday’s PL game against Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium.

Onuachu came off the bench in the second half with the Saints trailing 2-0 in the encounter.

The Forward who completed a deadline day move from KRC Genk, was brought on from the commencement of the half.

However, the 28 year-old did not open his goal account and Southampton went to lose 3-0 to compound their relegation throes.

On the day, Joe Aribo was an unused substitute for the Saints.

The hosts scored twice in the first half through Ben Mee (41′) and Bryan Mbeumo (44′) – the latter had assisted the first goal also.

Mathias Jensen completed the rout with a delightful header in the 80th minute.

The defeat leaves Nathan Jones’ side bottom of the standings with one win from their last five games as they enter they head into round 22.
