The governor who thanked every stakeholder and delegate for re-electing Pinnick Amaju as president of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF).
Went on to say, by this singular act the football stakeholders have proven to the world, that when u identify a Star, the are able to support him to succeed. Which we thank you, we ask God bless you all.
We also want to recognize and appreciate our son of the soil NFF president elect Mr. Pinnick Amaju for all his achievements, not only in the Nigerian football federation but also in the world football circle which we know he couldn’t have done it without the support of every stakeholder involved.
We want to appreciate the fact that you have thought it necessary to bring the Aiteo Cup finals to Delta state and in Asaba to be precised.
We are joyful about that and we know it couldn’t have just been our son who did it , but a collective effort and support of all .
We have realized the importance of football, we out to do the needful to improve on our sporting activities since we came into office.
Knowing fully well that you all are helping us in that regard by actually bring the aiteo cup final to Asaba.
If look at the past, during the time of chief lgbomodia, he did quite a lot to develop the the sport industry in then Bendel state which delta was part of the state.
We realized it is important, for we to develop our youth , so that our children, teenagers and youth so that can begin to engage themselves in sporting activities such as football.
Because their talents will be noticed at a younger level and we also continue to look at possible ways of developing talent.
We have picked a tournament which is called the head Master’s cup which is a football tournament in all primary schools in the state.
We out to raise talents , that will make history in the football circle and we doing everything possible to make it happen for us for us in Delta State.
