Super Eagles of Nigeria and Arsenal of England forward, Alex Iwobi has hailed his teammates for holding on till the final whistle as the battle for a top four place in the English Premier League hots up. Monday night action saw the Gunners travel to Vicarage Road to play against Watford.
Speaking after the Monday night tie against, Iwobi said “I think they deserve the accolades they received from their fans after the match .
They fought till the last whistle, I think we ought to have wrapped up the game in the first half after Deeney’s red card but we created some chances but we couldn’t convert them, in the second half towards the end of the game , they look as if they are 13 player in the field.
The most important thing is that we won the match and we now are fourth on the log with 66points with a game in hand. Top four is our priority as a team”
The Super Eagles player who started the match and ended the game with outstanding display in the wing, creating seven chance on the night.
