Nigeria’s WNT head Coach Randy Waldrum is a happy man following the team’s progress at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The Super Falcons booked their place in next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup, picking one of four automatic tickets after edging Cameroon in the quarter finals of the WAFCON on Thursday.
Rasheedat Ajibade scored the solitary goal of the encounter against the Indomitable Lionesses to hand the defending Champions a deserved win at the Mohammed V Stadium.
“I’m proud of my team, ” Waldrum said after the game.
“The most difficult task for us is to get to this point. We had difficulties from the beginning, to overcome pitfalls. But the players defended themselves and found a way to win.
“Honestly, we are very excited to have qualified for the World Cup.”
Next, for Super Falcons is a date against host Nation, Morocco in a semi-final fixture on July 18 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
