At age 34 Leon Balogun may be defying the laws of diminishing return, showing he’s still competitive.

Balogun was the hero last night for QPR in the very rigorous English Championship match-up against his former Club, Wigan.

The CB headed home for what proved the match winning goal with the sides tied 1-1 after 22 minutes.

He would go on to play for the entire duration of the game and help his side keep the promotion dream alive.

In his 8th league appearance, the Nigerian matched his exact stats across apps, goals and cautions picked up in his first season in England.

Leon Balogun joined Brighton after his time with Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga after the 2018 season.

A season later he was on loan at Wigan where he got 11 league outings and his second coming – most likely his swan song – could go on to be a remarkable one like his two seasons at Rangers.

At the Scottish club, he won both the League title & Cup as well as reaching the Europa League final.
