Victor Sochima Dedicates Super Eagles Call Up To NPFL Players

Rivers United goalkeeper, Victor Sochima has described his debut Super Eagles invite as a big opportunity for himself and other NPFL players.

Sochima, 24, has been in good form on the continent for the Nigerian Champions this term, keeping three clean sheets in four appearances.

Speaking with FL, the goalkeeper dedicated the call-up to his family and the entire NPFL.

“It means a whole lot to me, it’s a huge invitation so to say, I’m glad it has come. It’s not only for me, it’s for my club, it’s for my family, it’s for the whole NPFL.”

“Of course, we are not going to have all the players in the NPFL at the same time in the national team, but, when one or two people are being recognized, it shows that we are doing something good. It shows that all your efforts, your hard work is being recognized.”

“At the same time, when you use the opportunity very well, it will open doors for other people as well.

“It means a whole lot, for my CV and as an individual. It’s a whole new level, and I’m glad and will go there to compete.”
