Victor Moses is on the verge of his first silverware for Spartak Moscow and one in his personal collection in three years after his move from Chelsea.
Moses, 31, has won a total of five major titles for Club and Country, on Wednesday the Nigerian helped his Russian club, Spartak Moscow reach the Cup final.
The People’s team easily dispatched National League League side Yenisey Krasnoyarsk Three nil at the Otkrytiye Arena.
For the Nigerian himself, he couldn’t follow up his performance last weekend and though he started the game on Wednesday, Moses was brought off in the 64th minute.
Meanwhile, the team’s Italian Coach Paolo Vanoli welcomed goals from Quincy Promes (21′), Zelimkhan Bakaev (56′) and Aleksandr Sobolev (87′).
The win against Yenisey has pitched Spartak Moscow against City rivals Dynamo Moscow, who knocked out 10-man Alania Vladikavkaz by the same 3-0 outcome.
Spartak have won the competition three times to Dynamo’s one, but both haven’t won the Cup since 2003 and 1995 respectively.
The sides will clash in the 30th Russian Cup final on 29 May in Moscow.
Turkish league outfit, Besiktas, have made contact with the camp of one-cap Nigerian striker, Anthony Nwakaeme. The Super Lig side want the former Trabzonspor forward on loan.
