Victor Boniface was unable to influence the game like the first leg as Royale Union SG lost woefully, 4-1, in front of their supporters to Bayern Leverkusen to crash out of the UEFA Europa League quarter finals.

Boniface started on the left of a front three, but, failed to connect with Jean Lazare Amani and Yorbe Vertessen.

Leverkusen scored the first goal just two minutes into the game and doubled their lead 36 minutes after.

They scored the third just after the hour mark and although Union pulled one back, Leverkusen added one more for good measure to seal the game and advance to the semi final.

The Nigerian played for 81 minutes and was silenced for most part, he was also guilty of missing two big chances.
