Former Super Eagles striker, Victor Agali has backed Paul Onuachu to come good for Southampton.

Southampton axed their Manager, Nathan Jones a week after Onuachu joined the team in the January transfer window, but Agali believes the Forward will thrive regardless.

“Onuachu is always going to be at the club regardless of what coach comes into the club. Te coach will definitely come with his own style, play those who fit the style, but, Onuachu will always score because he has a good record,” Agali told FL.

“Most coaches have an idea of how they want to play, he might want a smaller striker, who can dribble around, or he can also want a big burly striker like Dzeko and Onuachu, but he would be the one to state how he wants to play at the end of the day.”

The Former Schalke Forward also spoke about what would determine the performance of the 6’7 tall striker.

“Now Onuachu has to adapt to the Premier league, and how patient the management is, a lot of factors will determine how well it will come out for him.

“A player needs stability around him to operate as well, as it is not easy moving countries, but he has enough qualities to score a lot of goals, however, Southampton are not in a good place at the moment.”
