VAR denies Iheanacho perfect night against Man United at Old Trafford


Kelechi Iheanacho scored one but was denied an assist as Leicester were made to settle for a point against Manchester United at Old Trafford in a PL match at the weekend.

Iheanacho was given the nod over Zambian Patson Daka to lead the Foxes in attack and despite a slow start, the Striker got the away fans celebrating in the 63rd minute when his dividing header beat David De Gea to break the deadlock.
However the lead did not last long as Man United were level three minutes later through the Brazilian midfielder Fred.
He pounced on a rebound effort after Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel saved a close range effort but parried off the ball in the path of the MF, who smashed it into the roof of the net.
Down the stretch Iheanacho got a chance to get a second when he pounced on a lose pass but his attempt to lob the ball over De Gea went awfully off the mark.
He was be involved in another attacking move, His clever through-the-leg pass to James Maddison and latter’s goal were struck out after VAR ruled the Nigerian fouled Man United’s French CB Raphael Varane in the build up.
The sides will settle for a share of the spoils and the point leaves Brendan Rodgers’ men well off a European spot in 9th place with 37 points after 28 round of games.
