US Cremonese 1-3 Udinese: Dessers, Okereke and Success all get Work out

David Okereke and Cyriel Dessers were part of US Cremonese’s friendly against Udinese, who had Isaac Success, as the holiday break extends the rest period for the Serie A.

The Italian top flight league was halted over the commencement of the World Cup last month, but the Serie A will not return until after the New Year and Cremonese continued their preparation in the mid-season break.

Struggling in the league, La Cremo are yet to record a win this season, and that record continued into the test game as they were cantered 3-1 by Udinese.

US Cremonese have not won against a Serie A team and on Thursday at the Giovanni Zini Stadium, despite the lead from a Beto own goal, they conceded three times in 18 minutes.

A brace from Tolgay Arslan (15′ 18′) and Beto (33′) settled the contest.

The three Nigerian players involved in the game Cyriel Dessers, David Okereke and Isaac Success all got minutes. While Dessers and Success started for their respective sides, Okereke came off the bench in the second half.

When the Serie A returns, Cremonese will host Juventus on January 4 and Udinese will host Empoli on the same day.
