Umar Sadiq off the mark in La Liga

As the noise about an imminent move away from Almeria this transfer window all but drowned out now, Umar Sadiq looked focused and even more determined to proved he belongs to the elite division, on Monday night at the Manuel Martínez Valero against Elche.

Sadiq registered his first LaLiga goal this season, a well-placed header from a corner kick in the 23rd minute, gave his side the lead.
However, the hosts would go on to equalize seven minutes later and force a draw by half time.
There were no more goals scored in after the interval as the sides settled for a share of the spoils.
Rojiblancos held on for their first point of the season, after the opening day defeat against champions Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, their Nigerian forward, Sadiq needed a head band to protect the stitches on his head from an injury sustained in game.
He wore the piece until the 81st minutes, when he was brought off for the 32 year-old Portuguese Dyego Sousa.
The Forward left it all on the pitch and will now keep his focus not on the possibility of a transfer, rather it’ll be on Almeria’s next Liga game against Sevilla, which comes up this weekend.
