Umar goal drought continues, but registers fifth assist of the season to inspire Win against Burgos

Umar Sadiq claimed an assist as Almeria recorded a 2-0 win against Burgos at the Estadio de Los Juegos Mediterráneos in a Segunda Division at the weekend.

Sadiq provided the assist for Almeria’s first goal, setting up José Carlos Lazo for the opener inside the opening minutes of the game.
Puigmal Arnau, who had been denied earlier by VAR, scored the hosts’ second in added time (90+5′) to wrap up the win.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian forward himself has 7 goals in the league this campaign, but is on a four game run without scoring.
He dropped to third in the top scorers’ ranking behind Ruben Castro and Borja Baston.
Sadiq Umar has seven goals and five assists, slightly more than 50 percent of goals contribution to Almeria’s La Liga promotion push.
Almeria top the standings with 34 points from 15 round of matches, six points ahead of second-place Eibar.
