Former Sunshine Stars head Coach Duke Udi has slammed the League Management over the incident in the NPFL game between Katsina United and Remo stars FC at the weekend.
Katsina United won 3-2 after Omoyele Tosin scored two minutes before the Thirty-six minutes stoppage time elapsed.
Udi, who spoke on Brila FM’s show No Holds Barred with former Super Eagles Ifeanyi Udeze, remarked that League is in a total mess.
The former Coach also slammed the soft-handedness of the league administrators who fail to mete out appropriate punitive measures to serve as deterrent to other teams.
Duke Udi said that ‘nepotism among the administrators’ has crippled their judgement hence the mess and that it would be difficult to have a proper league under such circumstances.
Udi who also played for Nigeria and 3SC, claims that the actions in the Top flight league trickles down to the lower divisions due to the mismanagement of the NPFL.
The Nigeria ex-international however refuses to blame the referee as he claims that he was under duress and had to choose what was best for him in such a volatile environment.
Nigerian football has witnessed series of negative reviews across the country as match venues have experienced violence against match officials and journalists in recent weeks.
