Udeze faults NFF’s handling of Alhassan Yusuf Eagles Call up

Former player of the Super Eagles Ifeanyi Udeze has blasted the treatment of Royal Antwerp midfielder Alhassan Yusuf by the NFF.

The Nigerian super Eagles have an upcoming friendly against Algerian in Oran this month, and players have already resumed camp with 18 players already in camp as of the time of writing.

According to reports the Federation sent an invitation for the friendly to Yusuf, Friday, through Royal Antwerp.

Surprisingly the club side received another mail later from the NFF, that his invitation was cancelled much to the disappointment of Alhassan Yusuf and his Club side.

Ifeanyi Udeze, on his show “No Holds Barred” on Brila FM, expressed shock and disappointment with the situation.

Udeze said that the NFF should have known better than making such an error, especially in the modern era where technology has made it so easy.

He also claimed that such an error did not happen during his time as a footballer when there was no such advancement in technology.

The former Super Eagles LB argues that it is unacceptable and the action has done more harm than good to the reputation of the National team.

He believes the situation would put have a strong effect on the player through, and could potentially fracture relations between the NFF and Royal Antwerp.
