Club Brugge forward Emmanuel Dennis registered an assist in Wednesday’s 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in the final Group A match at the Jan Breydel Stadium.
Dennis made his sixth start in the competition on the night and went on to provide the assist for Hans Vanaken’s effort in the 55th minute to restore parity after Rodrygo fired the Los Blancos into the lead two minutes earlier.
Dennis hugged the headlines in the first leg on October 1 this year at the Santiago Bernabeu when he scored twice in the 9th and 39th minutes to shoot Club Brugge into a 2-0 lead before Real Madrid rallied back through Sergio Ramos (55 minutes) and Casemiro(85 minutes) to force a 2-2 draw.
Following Wednesday’s result Club Brugge will now campaign in the Europa League for the rest of the 2019/2020 season.
The 22-year old has netted five goals in 18 appearances across all competitions this term.
