Ubong Ekpai gets an Assist and was nearly a hero in Slavia Prague’s Six-goal Thriller

Peter Olayinka was not available yet again for Slavia Prague in their league match over the weekend, but Ubong Ekpai played all 90 minutes and got an assists in the six-goal thriller away at Karvina.

Ekpai set up Ivan Schranz for his side’s first goal and their leveler after the hosts took the lead in the 27th minute through Michal Papadopulos.
The visitors followed up the equalizer with a late goal in the first-half to turn the game around completely.
After the restart there was more drama. First Karvina levelled in the 56th minute but had a player, who was on the bench, shown a red card.
In the middle of all the chaos, Slavia Prague scored again to regain the lead in the 64th minute and looked liek the were home and dry as the game wore on.
However in stoppage time the hosts snatched a point, in the first minute of additional time 18 year-old Kacper Zych sent the home team into a frenzy.
He smashed home a rebound from a corner kick after Soufiane Drame’s header was blocked by Ekpai.
The draw comes as a massive point for Karvina, who would be hoping to avoid the relegation battle this season, while Slavia Prague fell three points behind league leaders Sparta Prague.
