Nigeria and Cameroon played a goalless draw in a test game ahead of the U23 AFCON at their Mecure Hotel base in Ismailia on Tuesday.
The Olympic Eagles affirmed his team’s readiness for the U23 AFCON, used the match to further enhance the players fitness level and keep them in optimal condition.
Defensive pairing Olisah Ndah and Anthony Izuchukwu looked solid in the Eagles back line while Enobakahre and Orji Okonkwo were promising upfront.
As the game wore on, coach Imama Amapakabo experimented with his squad bringing in Bitok Stephen for Sincere Seth, Aliyu Ya’u Umar for Sunusi Ibrahim and Valentine Ozornwafor for Olisah Ndah.
The Olympic Eagles will begin the Cup defence on Saturday against Cote d’Ivoire at the Al Salam Stadium in Cairo.
Nigeria will then face Zambia on Tuesday, 12 November before they play their last group game against South Africa on Friday, 15 November at the same venue.
