Former Nigerian midfielder, Duke Udi has maintained that the Olympic Eagles can certainly do better than the performance they showcased in their 2-0 win against Tanzania in the second-leg Africa U23 Cup of Nations.
Nigeria will battle Guinea in the final qualifying round, after the latter qualified via a walk over against Uganda.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s U23 team beat the Tanzanian counterparts 3-1 on aggregate.
The former Sunshine Stars coach, although not fully impressed by the win, said it was a good game for his team, but explained that the Olympic Eagles must be consistent in intensity.
The Olympic Eagles will face Guinea in the next round of qualifiers, between March 20th and 28th, in a bid to qualify for next year’s U23 AFCON in Morocco.
