Flying Eagles coach, Ladan Bosso has expressed admiration for LB Solomon Agbalaka on the back of another impressive display in defence against Mozambique, on Saturday, at the CAF U20 AFCON.
Agbalaka was outstanding in the 2-0 win against Mozambique in their final group game of the competition, and the win sealed their passage into the quarter-final.
Goals from Samson Lawal and a rocket from Ibrahim Musa gave the flying Eagles the win on the night.
Solomon Agbalaka was voted Man-of-the-match award, Bosso was full of praise for the Left back.
“It is expected (MoTM) because he’s somebody that I heard of, and I travelled from Abuja to Lagos on two occasions to watch him play for his team,” Bosso said.
“I booked him down then I went to Ikeja for a scouting programme. I saw him play from the centre back so I had to sit him down. We talked and decided to shift him to left full-back.
“I believe somebody can play from left back and centre back, he’s a good addition to the team, so I saw him and followed up and I invited him to the camp.”
