Nigeria’s U20 MNT made bold their credentials in terms of preparation for the forthcoming Africa U20 Cup of Nations tournament as they defeated Zambia 4-2 in an enthralling friendly encounter on Friday..

The Ladan Bosso tutored side dominated proceedings as they got the first goal through Sariki Haliru two minutes before half-time, making up for an earlier gilt edge howler.

The second half started on a negative note for team though, they conceded the equalizer, six minutes after kickoff.

Just one minute later, the Flying Eagles were back in front this time via substitute Adams Olamilekan, who scored from a powerful header.

He put the ball past the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute, but, it didn’t take long for before the Zambians were back in it again, thanks to some pressure football.

Finally, the Zambians got their equalizer as goalkeeper Nathaniel Nwosu’s mistake was punished.

But, the Flying Eagles rallied again and restored their lead and I his time it came via another substitute, Emmanuel Uchegbu’s goal in the 79th minute of the encounter and from there the team was on cruise control.

As the Nigerian boys glided gleefully and knocked the ball around, they breached the opponent’s defence in the 86th minute off the boots of Samson Lawal, wrapping up a well-fought win.
