Two Things Super Falcons Need to Stop “Dangerous” Australia

Staying focused and organized for the duration of the game against Australia is the surest way for the Super Falcons to get a result out of the game against FIFA Women’s World Cup co-host, Australia on Thursday, according to FC Robo Queens coach, Emmanuel Osahon.

The Super Falcons will clash with the Matildas on July 27 at Lang Park. It could be a decisive one for the former African Champions who only picked up a point in their opening group B match against Canada.

Albeit against the odds, Randy Waldrum guided his lowly-rated Super Falcons against the current Olympic champions – and with a player less.

Despite that performance, Osahon believes the Nigerian Ladies need to keep their cool for the entire duration against Australia to avoid getting the short end.

“In the match against Canada, there was too much gap between the attackers and the rest of the team, so going forward against Australia, there must be a bridge linking the two positions in order to score goals against them.” the NWFL Coach told FL.

“There must be players who will support the attackers from the midfield and dictate the pace of the game to add organization to it.”
