Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong was on parade for Udinese in Sunday’s Italian Serie A match with Fiorentina at Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Ekong who is set to captain the Super Eagles in the October 13 International friendly with the Selecao of Brazil later this month in Singapore, was on for the entire duration of the game .
The game lack clear chances as Udinese defended well all through the night, before their resistance was broken in the in the 71st minutes, through Nikola Milenkovic in front of 37, 963 Viola faithfuls.
Ekong and his teammates however failed to find much needed equaliser before the referee Alessandro Prontera sounded the whistle for the end of the game.
Meanwhile, Ekong’s compatriot, Stefano Chukwuka Okaka was also featured in the game.
Udinese are 14th on the log with 7 points from 7 games in the new Serie a season.
