William Troost-Ekong was impressive for Udinese in the 1-1 draw with Napoli in Saturday’s Serie A match at Dacia Arena.
Troost-Ekong put in a fine defensive shift to help his side share the points with the much troubled I Partenopei.
The 26-year-old was afforded his 13th league start and gave a good account of himself to help the White and Blacks avoid defeat against Carlo Ancelotti’s men.
Troost-Ekong frustrated the efforts of Napoli’s front men making five tackles and had an 83% successful pass rate.
Kevin Lasagna’s 32nd-minute opener for Luca Gotti’s men was cancelled out by Piotr Zielinski’s second-half effort.
The draw put Udinese 14th on the league table, with 15 points from 15 matches.
Next for Udinese and Troost-Ekong will be a trip to the Juventus Stadium and a date against Sarri-ball and the lethal Paolo Dybala plus Cristiano Ronaldo.
