Trabzonspor are reportedly considering a move to re-sign Nigerian winger Anthony Nwakaeme during the January transfer window.

According to reports from Karadeniz’de Sonnokta Gazetesi, Trabzonspor are planning to initiate a transfer for their former winger, Anthony Nwakaeme during the winter transfer market.

The experienced Nigerian winger has reportedly shown interest in returning for a second spell at the Claret-Blue.

President Ertuğrul Doğan and coach Abdullah Avcı have maintained a good relationship with Nwakaeme even after his departure from the club in the summer of 2022.

He chose not to renew his contract after helping them win the league title with the club.

During his initial four-year association with Trabzonspor, Nwakaeme made a significant impact, registering 47 goals and 40 assists in 145 appearances across all competitions.

His time at Trabzonspor saw him win the Turkish Super Lig, Turkish Cup, and Turkish Super Cup.

Anthony Nwakaeme is currently with Saudi Pro League club Al-Fayha FC, where he has about eight months left on his contract and has scored 10 goals in 36 games.
