Enyimba have been drawn against Al Ittihad in the CAF Confederation Cup play-off qualifiers, a tougher test than their last opponents Diambars.
Al Ittihad were eliminated from the Champions League qualifiers at the weekend, but dropped to the second tier of the CAF Club competitions.
The Sudanese side will host the first leg of the tie against Enyimba and the winner of the two-legged fixture will advance to the group stage.
Meanwhile, Rivers United also will compete for a place in the Confederation Cup group phase after their elimination from the Champions League by Al Hilal.
Rivers United who are the 2021 NPFL runners-up lost the tie 2-1 on aggregate.
In the play-off round of the qualifiers they battle Egypt’s Al Masry.
