Club Brugge suffered a shock defeat at home in the Jupiler League against Westerlo in a game where Raphael Onyedika probably would had deserved more.

Boeren were put to the sword by a Lyle Foster double (53′, 86′), but Onyedika was involved in every play, putting in good shifts on both ends.

The Nigerian midfielder was impressive, filling the stats sheets particularly on the defensive end.

His contributions included 7 tackles attempted – the most on the night – as well as 2 clearances, 3 blocks, 3 aerial duels and also 2 shots.

Onyedika got 90 minutes on the day, his fifth consecutive full appearance for the club, showing some consistency, but not the same for the team who have lost two of their last three league games.

However, the still remain in the top three, 8 points off league leaders Royal Antwerp and just four points above Westerlo from 11 rounds of matches so far.
