KAA Gent Centre-back, Jordan Torunarigha has made the decision to switch his international allegiance and play for Nigeria.

This development follows Torunarigha’s representation of Germany at various youth levels, including his inclusion in their squad for the 2021 Olympic Games.

It marks an intriguing twist in the career of this talented Centre-back.

Notably, in May 2018 Torunarigha had declined the opportunity to represent Nigeria, rejecting the chance to wear the green and white jersey of the Super Eagles.

At that time, the manager of the Nigerian team, Gernot Rohr had shown great interest in securing his services for the Super Eagles.

Confirming the news, Torunarigha’s management announced that all the required documents have been submitted to FIFA.

If the process unfolds smoothly, the talented defender, whose father is a former Nigerian international, will join Coach Jose Peseiro’s team for the international matches scheduled for September.

This decision marks a significant shift in Torunarigha’s international football career.
