Torino 1-2 Atalanta: Ola Aina Serie A return ends in heartbreak

Ola Aina returned to the Serie A one season after his loan spell at Fulham and the left-back played the entire duration but couldn’t help his side avoid defeat against Atalanta.

Aina applied himself on both ends of the pitch however the season didn’t get off on a good note.
Two interceptions, two blocks, 1 aerial battle won and two shots on target the LWB registered in 90 minutes.

 

But, the visitors scored first, Luis Muriel (6′) getting them quickly off the block. Andrea Belotti came off the bench to level for Torino at the Olimpico Grande Torino.
Belotti, the team’s top scorer last season with 13 goals, was introduced in the 65th minute and his impact was almost instant.
His goal eventually gave Il Toro some hope and they could picked a point from the game however, tragedy struck.
Roberto Piccoli teamed up with former Chelsea man Mario Pasalic to strike a late blow, in the third minute of added time to snatch a late victory.
