FC Porto beat Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in the UEFA Champions League match on Wednesday night to keep hop alive of a place in the knockout rounds of the competition.
A 6th minute goal from Galeno and a Mehdi Taremi second half penalty brace secured the points at stake for Porto at the Bay Arena.
The win moves them two points ahead of Atletico Madrid and in second place in group B.
Meanwhile, in left back for the visitors, Zaidu Sanusi held forth for the entire game.
The 25 year-old Nigerian, who recently signed a contract extension, had a quiet game.
Sanusi got 47 touches of the ball, mostly inside his own half and took on more defensive duties against the German side.
On the night the LB completed 39 passes, 2 tackles, 2 Dribbles, 1 interception, 1 clearance and he also lost possession twice.
Porto will return to UCL action on October 26, in the fifth round of group stage matches when they travel away to the Jan Breydel Stadium to face leaders, Club Brugge.
