MFM FC handler, Tony Bolus is optimistic his side will pick up their first home win of the season as they entertain Akwa United in a matchday eight clash of the Nigeria Professional Football league on Friday (today).
The Olukoya Boys have been impressive on the road this season recording away victories against Heartland and Enugu Rangers.
Nonetheless, they are yet to win at home after playing outdraws against FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Warri Wolves at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.
Tony Bolus’ men will hope to grab maximum points against Akwa United who just registered their first win of the season against Adamawa United last Sunday.
However, the manager is confident his boys will get the job done today while admitting that the Uyo-based side will fancy their chances against them.
“They are looking to their first away win while we are looking forward to our first home win of the season. We are not down at home. a point at home is fair at home.
“We know a team like Akwa United will come all out to come and play us and that is exactly what we want as we are a good ball-playing side too. So I think we will get the three points,” he concluded.
The encounter is billed for 4:00 pm today at the Soccer Temple, Agege Stadium.
