Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has heap praises on Fikayo Tomori for his outstanding performance in the Blues UEFA Champions league win over Lille on Wednesday.

The defender has been ever present in Frank Lampard squad this season and he justified the faith of his manager with another solid performance at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Tomori assisted Tammy Abraham’s first champions league goal for Chelsea who bounced back to victory against the French side, following their opening day defeat to Valencia at Stanford bridge.

Speaking after the game, Lampard however, singled out Tomori for praises ahead of goalscorer Tammy Abraham and Willian .

“It feels really good. This was a really hard place to come, added to the pressure of not beating Valencia. And it was the first time for a few travelling in Europe.

“Tomori was outstanding again. He has to keep on with that. Now Ajax have set their stall out in the group. This gives us confidence and points. Now the hard work begins.” He said

Tomori helped Chelsea to end a run of four games without a Champions League win (D2 L2), while picking up their first victory in the competition since November 2017 (4-0 v Qarabag).
