Akwa United coach, Deji Ayeni has challenged his Players team to uphold their high standards when the NPFL resumes.

Ayeni stressed that it is important for the team to keep their feet on the ground and work as much as they did in the first-half of the season if they want to make the most of the season.

“We need to keep up with the pace at which we started the season to achieve the objective we set for ourselves,” Ayeni declared.

“The team is looking forward to the start of the second stanza and hopefully we will maintain the same momentum.”

The NPFL will resume later this month, and Akwa United will return against 3SC March 26.
