Ladan Bosso Boosts Flying Eagles Squad With 12 Foreign based Players

The Nigeria Football Federation has dispatched letters of invitation to 12 foreign-based players to the Flying Eagles camp ahead of this year’s FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina.

The players called up as previously reported, include; Inter Milan’s midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, AC Milan wonderkid Victor Eletu, Arsenal winger Joel Ideho, Botev Plovdiv duo Ume Emmanuel and Tochukwu Nnadi, as well as Norwich City striker Kenny Coker and Italian-born attacker Osakpolor Alessandro Odobo.

These players will be closely monitored by the Flying Eagles coaches in the coming days.

Istanbulspor defender, Michael Ologo trained with the Flying Eagles before the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, and has been in the team alongside Olubi Adams, who was previously with Lithuanian outfit FK Zalgiris Vilnius but was released.

Additionally, Abel Ogwuche, a central defender from Swedish side Trelleborg, has been recalled after his impressive performance at the Nations Cup in Egypt.

Joining Ologo and Ogwuche is Abdullahi Ibrahim Bewene, who has aided FC Banik Ostrava U19s to seven consecutive victories in the 1.

NK Hask’s Oshaba Onuh was also handed an invite.

The NFF has given an ultimatum of May 1st to all foreign-based players invited to join the training camp in Abuja, which opens on Friday, April 28.
